November.

Performance Attire
-Traditionally, the band has worn their black marching shoes,
black socks, black dress pants, and white dress shirt with black tie. This tradition will
continue and again hold true for this year.
4.
Performance Transportation
-For all non-local events, the band will travel by District
provided transportation (school bus), This will include all instruments,
equipment, and personnel.
-For all local events, we will be utilizing our Band and
Color Guard transport trailer to haul all instruments and equipment. This will
still necessitate the need for a loading and set up crew, as well as an
unloading and tear down crew for all local events. Personnel Transportation from
and to these events, will need to be provided on your own.
5. Student
Involvement and Commitment
-As a performance oriented class, because of the nature and
functions of this class, participation in all rehearsals, sectionals, and
performances is expected.
-All students will be responsible to and for all
communications, expectations, course content, course requirements, and policies
outlined in the instrumental music (Band) course syllabus signed by students and
their parents at the beginning of the year.
6. Parent
Involvement and Commitment
-Involvement in an organization such as this requires much
parental commitment and support in order to insure success on the part of the
student with regards to course expectations, policies, and requirements.
-Your support and encouragement in these areas are greatly
appreciated. Thank you for your understanding concerning these matters.
Please note: Jazz Ensemble auditions are held during band camp. See #6 of the Band Program Outline.
