When: May 8, 2024 from 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM

Where: Saugus High School

Students will perform a live audition in front of a judge. The audition will be based on tone, note and rhythm accuracy, and musicianship.

​

Woodwinds, Brass and Bass students will be required to perform 2 major scales, 2 minor scales and a Chromatic Scale. All scales must be memorized.

​

Percussion students will perform all excerpts from the scale sheet except Excerpt #5: Played on Tambourine. Percussion students will only be required to perform excerpts #1-4 from the scale sheet.

​

All students will be required to perform excerpts on their instrument.

Brass, Woodwinds and Bass players will be required to perform their assigned excerpt.

Percussion will be required to perform both the snare drum etude and the mallets etude. The mallet etude must be performed on Marimba.
